Parabeam is a 3 dimensional textile woven from 100% E-glass yarn. Borrowing from velvet weaving technology, two deck-layers (woven warp and weft) are connected by vertical piles to form an integral sandwich structure. Once the fabric is wetted out with thermoset resin, the vertical piles, via capillary action, force the decklayers apart until reaching their pre-engineered height.
